Bitlocker Drive Encryption
What is it?
BitLocker Drive Encryption is a data protection feature that integrates with the operating system and addresses the threats of data theft or exposure from lost, stolen, or inappropriately decommissioned computers.
What to expect
There will be a one time encryption process that will happen to all Windows Endpoints. During this process you may experience higher than usual disk usage, this is normal and should not interrupt any of your daily tasks. Depending on the size of your drive and how much data you have on it this process may take an hour or two to complete.
If the Operating System assesses a potential lost of data then the computer will show a screen similar to the one below.
