Filer (Network Storage)
Overview
To assure the School of Architecture’s data is safe and accessible, we use a network storage application called Filer. While computers inside the School of Architecture can easily access Filer (EX: “O Drive”), computers outside of the school must connect to the VPN before they can access this network storage.
This option is ideal for individuals who wish to access personal folders and SOA shared resources from any off-site location.

What is Filer and what kind of data is being stored?

If you are attempting to connect to a SOA network resource from outside Texas A&M University grounds, you will have to first connect to the VPN.
