Logging into Outlook

Overview

These are the steps for setting up your A&M Exchange email on your computer.

Please click on “If you already use Outlook” if you use outlook and are needing to re-add your account.


On opening Outlook for the first time

1. Open Outlook 

2. In the box, type your email address as netid@tamu.edu

 

  1. Click Continue

 

Your email is now set up with Outlook.


If you already use Outlook on Windows

Only follow the instructions below if you are having issues with your Outlook. This will remove and re-add your email account to Outlook.

  1. Open Outlook 

  2. Follow the instructions in the article Here.

  3. Click on “Email”

     

  4. Click on “New…” and a window should pop up

  5. In the box, type your email address as netid@tamu.edu

 

  1. Click Connect

  2. A pop-up will appear. Select Ok.

Now your TAMU Exchange account will be linked to your Outlook!


If you already use Outlook on Mac

Only follow the instructions below if you are having issues with your Outlook. This will remove and re-add your email account to Outlook.

  1. Open Outlook 

  2. Click on “Outlook” in the top left, and then click on “Preferences…”

     

  3. Click on “Accounts”

     

  4. Click on your @tamu.edu or @exchange.tamu.edu email address, and then click the - at the bottom of the screen (As shown below)

     

  5. Click “Add Email Account”

     

  6. In the box, type your email address as netid@tamu.edu

     

  7. Click “Continue”, and it will add the account.

 

Now your email account will be added to Outlook on your Mac.
